Today is the first day of Spring and time for us to look at our data and see if the groundhog was correct. Phil in Pennsylvania predicted 6 more weeks of winter. However, our groundhog - Jazzy Jay - did not she her shadow so she predicted we would have an early spring. We had 15 windy days. Some of those days were cold and some were warm. We had 20 days of wintry weather and just 10 days that were bright and sunny.
Our data shows a little of both kinds of weather, just like the two groundhogs predicted. But, we decided that we had an early spring because in West Texas it is always windy in the spring. So, since we had more windy days (and they were windy!) than any other, we are going to say that Jazzy J had the correct prediction and we had an early spring.
